Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) often doesn't interface well with other software, especially older code releases. This article should serve to emphasize the need for you to ensure that you are using current products in your business applications, especially if you expect them to interact properly with MTS. I will describe how I ran into a problem that took me nearly a week's time to track down and document. It finally culminated in a bittersweet victory as Microsoft admitted that what I'd found was a new bug.
