IbuySpy's Portal Search Module

IBuySpy Portal Search Modules adds keyword search capability to your internet or company portal. The Search modules can be added to the Portal's DesktopModules Directory. Written in VB.NET inline code (this version will also work in the C# Portal), these modules have an easy to use search configuration and it features a radio checkbox for selecting the portal's 1 of 7 database tables and a textbox for entering a keyword search to all the text fields of the table. The latest version includes a dropdown list category to search. The Control is used by the Portal Layout Manager. For example, the Home tab of the demo shows the Search Module. All source code is provided for your perusal.

Due to the many options a search engine offers and the scope it which it could take on, I have limited it to a text search by keywords and the output is designed to give you a simple display. It is up to you to decide on what type of look you want. You can modify this display to include sorting, paging, even editing and your choice of fields to display.
